How the tape and the bid work

Every morning we pull completed US eBay sales for each card. Price is sold price plus shipping. We drop laptops, lots, watercooled cards, and titles that miss the VRAM or Super/non-Super split.

The headline number is the 14-day median, or 30 days if there are fewer than eight clean sales. If the sample is under eight, or the middle half of prices is too wide (IQR over 35% of the median), we show no price and no bid. A bad number is worse than a blank.

Offers, when we buy the card:

If the 7-day median falls 8% versus the prior week, the bid freezes. The chart still updates. We do not shade the median to make an offer look fair.

We buy RTX 3060 12GB and up, plus the AMD cards in those bands. Older cards stay on the tape so the page can rank. They do not get a button.
